Influencers

nzgirl has created an Influencer Programme that helps seed content, ideas and products across our large audience.  The ideal model works like this:

Influence

The audience is split into three key groups - the Instinctive's (those with a natural eye and create trends), the Adopter's (those who spy trends early and jump on them) and the Jane's (the more mainstream audience who tend to follow the Adopter's).

Adoption

The Instinctive's...

  • Beauty & style is about an innate need
  • It’s very personally motivated…
  • Though they like to look good – they enjoy the compliments
  • Confident in their personal style
  • Early adopters of style and technology
  • Fashion cues are instinctive - one of those people you’d just describe as stylish
  • Take risks in fashion
  • Hunts out ideas through online shopping
  • Online plays the part in seeding ideas – as does traditional media

The Instinctive’s group is made up of our expert panel and our Hot 5 IT nzgirl’s – circa 100 women and we can reach them in a bespoke email alert

The Adopter's....

  • Looking good is a focus and it’s an investment

  • Priority is on keeping up with fashion – they like to be seen to be looking good

  • They’re confident, but they dine out on compliments and feedback

  • Early adopters of style, technology, cosmetics

  • Always early to new trends, but not the first to wear / do

The Adopter’s are best reached through solus email and editorial integration.  This group is great for product reviews…

The Jane's...

  • They’re our “mass-tige” market – this is where the reach & frequency happen

  • Really want to look good

  • Influenced heavily by friends and media

  • Confidence isn’t high, they need support and encouragement through friends

  • Will shop with friends and rely on trusted sources for inspiration / confidence

  • Most every day people fall into this category

They're best reached through incentivised promotion and display based advertising comms (and amplification of Adopter's reviews)
